Press and release the close switch within half a second and the top will close automatically from any position. The top will fully close and stop automatically.

During an express open or express close operation, any other movement of the power top switch will stop the top.

To close the top manually, press and hold the close switch until the top is fully closed, then release it.

Releasing the switch at any time during opening or closing will stop power top movement. The top will remain in the partially open position until the switch is pressed and held again.

Anti-Pinch Feature

This feature detects an obstacle in the path of the Power Top during an Express Close operation. If an obstacle is detected in the path of the Power Top, the Power Top will automatically retract. Remove the obstacle if this occurs. Then press and release the close button for Express Close.

NOTE:

The Power Slider Top may move in the reverse direction if closing in strong headwind conditions. If this occurs, press and hold the Power Slider Top switch again to fully close the top.

If three consecutive power top close attempts result in Pinch Protect being cancelled, Pinch Protect will be disabled and the top must be closed manually.

Power Top Maintenance

Use only a non-abrasive cleaner and a soft cloth to clean the quarter window glass. Refer to the Vehicle Care section for important cleaning and care information for your vehicle.

Ignition Off

The power top switch may remain active in Accessory Delay for up to approximately 10 minutes after the ignition is turned to OFF. Opening either front door will cancel this function.

NOTE:

The ignition off delay time is programmed through the Uconnect System.

Relearn Procedure

On vehicles with a power top, a relearn procedure is available to calibrate the power top when Express mode stops working. To reset the power top, perform the following steps:

  1. Turn the ignition to the RUN position and start the vehicle.

    NOTE:

The engine must be running to perform the relearn procedure.

  2. Make sure the power top is in the fully closed position.
  3. Press and hold the close button for 10 seconds. This will place the power top in calibration mode.
  4. Continue holding the close button while the top fully opens, then closes again to the fully closed position.
  5. Once the power top stops in the fully closed position, release the close button. The power top is now reset and ready for use.

NOTE:

If the close button is released at any time during the relearn process, the relearn cannot be completed and the procedure must be repeated.
