Gauges
Speedometer

The speedometer shows vehicle speed and is calibrated in miles per hour (mph) and/or kilometers per hour (km/h).
Tachometer

The tachometer shows the approximate engine speed in revolutions per minute (rpm).
Use the tachometer to select the correct shift points and to avoid lugging and/or over-revving the engine.
WARNING! Red zone
Do not operate the engine in the RED ZONE of the tachometer. This may cause serious engine damage.
Engine Coolant Temperature Gauge

This gauge shows the engine coolant temperature when the ENGINE START/STOP button is ON.
If the gauge pointer moves beyond the normal range toward the letter "H", this indicates overheating, which may damage the engine.
Do not continue driving with an overheated engine. If your vehicle overheats, refer to "If Engine Overheats" in Chapter 6.
WARNING - Hot radiator
Never remove the radiator cap when the engine is hot. Engine coolant is under pressure and may cause serious burns. Wait until the engine cools down before adding coolant to the reservoir.
Fuel Gauge

This sensor indicates the approximate amount of fuel remaining in the fuel tank.
✽ NOTICE
- Refer to Section 8 for the fuel tank capacity.
- The fuel gauge pointer is supplemented by a low fuel warning lamp, which illuminates when the fuel tank is nearly empty.
- On hills or curves, the fuel gauge may fluctuate, or the low fuel warning light may illuminate earlier than normal due to fuel movement in the tank.
✽ WARNING - Fuel gauge
Running out of fuel may expose the vehicle occupants to danger. You should obtain additional fuel as soon as possible after the warning lamp illuminates or when the gauge pointer approaches the "E (Empty)" level.
CAUTION - Low fuel
Avoid driving with extremely low fuel. Running out of fuel may cause the engine to misfire and damage the catalytic converter.
✽ NOTICE
The fuel indication may be inaccurate if the vehicle is on a slope.
Odometer
.gif)
The odometer shows the total distance the vehicle has been driven and should be used to determine when periodic maintenance is due.
- Odometer range: 0 ~ 999999 miles or 0 ~ 1599999 kilometers.
Distance to Empty
.gif)
• Distance to empty: the estimated distance the vehicle can travel on the remaining fuel.
- Distance range: 1 ~ 9999 miles or 1 ~ 9999 km
• If the calculated distance is less than 1 mi. (1 km), the trip computer displays "---" as the distance to empty.
CAUTION
- If the vehicle is not on level ground or battery power has been interrupted, the distance to empty function may not operate correctly.
- The distance to empty may differ from the actual driving distance, as it is an estimate of the available driving range.
- The trip computer may not register additional fuel if less than 1.6 gallons (6 liters) of fuel is added to the vehicle.
- The distance to empty may vary significantly depending on driving conditions, driving habits, and vehicle condition.
Outside Air Temperature Sensor
.gif)
This sensor shows the current outside air temperature in 1°F (1°C) increments.
- Temperature range: -40°F ~ 140°F (-40°C ~ 60°C)
The outside temperature display may not change immediately, unlike a conventional thermometer, to prevent driver distraction.
The temperature unit (from °C to °F or from °F to °C) can be changed:
- Settings menu in the infotainment system screen:
You can change the temperature unit in "Settings → General → Unit → Temperature Unit → °C/°F".
- Climate control system:
While holding the OFF button, press the AUTO button for 3 seconds or more.
