Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA)

~1min read

Rear Collision-Avoidance Assist is an optional system that can warn the driver or apply braking force to reduce the possibility of a collision with pedestrians when the vehicle is moving in reverse.

WARNING

  • Always look around your vehicle to make sure there are no objects or pedestrians in front of the vehicle in any direction to prevent a collision.
  • Do not rely solely on the Reverse Collision-Avoidance Assist system. The system may not help the driver avoid injury to pedestrians or damage to the vehicle.
  • Keep in mind that some objects may not be visible on the screen or may not be detected by the rear ultrasonic sensors due to the distance to objects, their size or material, all of which may limit the effectiveness of the sensors.
