Head Restraint
In this manual: Safety Features of Your Vehicle
~1min read

The driver's and front passenger's seats are equipped with headrests for occupant safety and comfort.
In addition to providing comfort for the driver and front passenger, the headrest also helps protect the head and neck in the event of a collision.
WARNING
- For maximum effectiveness in an accident, the headrest should be adjusted so that the center of the headrest is level with the center of gravity of the occupant's head. Generally, the center of gravity of most people's heads is at the height of the top of their eyes. Also adjust the headrest as close to the head as possible. For this reason, using a cushion that keeps the body away from the seatback is not recommended.
- Do not drive the vehicle with the headrests removed, as this may result in serious injury to occupants in the event of an accident. Headrests can provide protection against neck injury when properly adjusted.
- Do not adjust the driver's seat headrest while the vehicle is in motion.
