WARNING
- Always wear appropriate footwear when driving. Inappropriate footwear (high heels, ski boots, etc.) may prevent you from operating the brake, accelerator, and clutch pedals (if equipped) properly.
- Do not start the vehicle with the accelerator pedal depressed. The vehicle may move and cause an accident.
- Wait until engine speed returns to normal. The vehicle may move suddenly if the brake pedal is released while engine speed is high.
✽ WARNING - Kickdown Mechanism (if equipped)
If your vehicle is equipped with a kickdown mechanism in the accelerator pedal, it prevents unintentional full-throttle operation by requiring greater force to depress the accelerator pedal. However, if you depress the pedal beyond 82%, the vehicle may operate at full throttle and the pedal will be easier to depress. This is not a malfunction, but a normal condition.
