Sliding Sunroof

To open the sunroof automatically:

Pull the sunroof control lever rearward to the second detent position, then release it. The sunroof will fully open.

The sunroof will slide to the recommended open position (approximately 5 cm (2 in)) before moving to the maximum open position.

To stop the sunroof at any position while it is moving, briefly pull or push the sunroof control lever.

To open the sunroof to the maximum open position, press the switch once more toward the rear of the vehicle and hold it until the sunroof slides to the end.

To reduce wind noise while driving, we recommend driving with the sunroof in the recommended position (approximately 5 cm (2 in)) instead of the maximum open position.

To close the sunroof automatically:

Push the sunroof control lever forward to the second detent position, then release it. The sunroof will close fully automatically.

To stop the sunroof at any position while it is moving, briefly pull or push the sunroof control lever.

While driving with the sunroof open (or partially open), the vehicle may produce wind buffeting or pulsating noise. This noise is normal and can be reduced or eliminated by taking the following actions. If you experience noise with the sunroof open, slightly reduce the sunroof opening.

Automatic Reverse

If an object or part of the body is detected while the sunroof glass or sunshade closes automatically, the movement will reverse and then stop.

The auto-reverse function will not work if a very small obstruction is between the sliding glass or sunshade and the sunroof frame. Always make sure all passengers and objects are clear of the sunroof before closing it.

WARNING

Make sure heads, other body parts, or other objects are clear of the window before closing it, to avoid injury or vehicle damage.

Objects less than 4 mm (0.16 in) in diameter between the sunroof glass and the front window channel may not be detected by the auto-reverse function, and the glass will not stop and reverse.
