  9. Carefully remove the windshield (B) using the glass holder (A).

[Installation]

  1. Using a knife, scrape off the remaining sealant around the body flange, leaving approximately 2 mm (0.0079 in.) of sealant on the bonding surface. When installing a new windshield, make alignment marks on the windshield and body.

  2. Wipe the edges of the body flange and windshield with alcohol. Apply primer to the edges of the windshield and attach the molding to the edges.

  3. Temporarily install the spacer (A) and the windshield (B) using the marks. Be sure to center them, then place the alignment mark (C).

  4. Remove the tape from the windshield molding (A) and install the molding on the windshield (B).

  5. Apply body primer to the bonding surface of the body panel.

  6. Apply glass primer to the outer edge of the windshield.

  7. Apply a bead of sealant (B) around the windshield (A).

  8. Using the glass holder (A), adjust the windshield (B) to size using the alignment marks (C) on the body, and lightly press the windshield so that the edges are fully seated on the bonding surface of the body.

  9. To make sure the applied sealant is fully cured, leave the vehicle on a level surface for at least 4 hours after windshield installation.

  10. Perform a water leak test.

    • Perform the water leak test at least 4 hours after windshield installation is complete.

    • Do not spray high-pressure water directly onto the seam area.

  11. Install the hood upper cover.

    (Refer to "Upper Cover Cap")

(Refer to Mirror - "Inside Rear View Mirror")
