The ATF warmer is installed on the valve body cover to reduce viscous friction of the oil by raising the oil temperature in cold conditions, which in turn improves fuel efficiency. It is standard equipment on the inlet of the electronic throttle control (ETC) as shown in the diagram, and minimizes the effect on the cabin heating system.
