Description

Depending on driving conditions and vehicle loading, the headlamp beam direction is adjusted so that the driver is not distracted, the driver's vision is protected from glare, and safe driving is maintained. The built-in ECU, installed on the rear actuator mounting bracket of the headlamp, receives the input signal from the vehicle's static changes. The headlamp beam is automatically adjusted when the chassis tilts.

Operation

Operating Procedure
  1. Change in suspension angle due to change in vehicle load.
  2. Change in sensor angle.
  3. The microprocessor calculates the required headlamp tilt angle change.
  4. Sends the appropriate signal to the headlamp leveling device and the drive actuator.
  5. Ignition ON
  6. Low Beam On
  7. When stopped: If the level sensor lever changes by 2° or more, the headlamp turns on within max. 1.5 seconds.
  8. When driving: if vehicle speed exceeds 4 km/h, the change in speed does not exceed 0.8-1.6 km/h per second, and the load condition changes, then the headlamp adjusts.
  9. Automatic Headlamp Leveling Device 1. Leveling Unit and Sensor 2. Sensor Mounting Bracket 3. Sensor Link
    • Using the microprocessor, detect the mechanical change in the angle of the operating lever or the speed signal.
    • Acts as the actuator of the internal control program, installed on the rear center link.
  10. Actuator
    • Change the headlamp beam direction up or down, as the automatic headlamp leveling unit receives the input signal that follows the static changes of the vehicle.
