The A/C pressure transducer (APT) converts the high-side line pressure into a voltage signal. Based on the converted voltage signal, the ECM controls the cooling fan, operating it at high or low speed. The ECM stops compressor operation when the refrigerant line temperature is abnormally high or abnormally low to optimize the air conditioning system.
