Compressor Removal

If the compressor is operating at its limit, run the engine at idle speed and let the A/C run for several minutes, then turn the engine off.

Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

Recover the refrigerant using a recovery/recharging station.

Remove the engine compartment cover by loosening the fastener clip (A) and bolts (B).

Separate the front part of the front wheel guard from the wheel base. (Refer to Body - Body Side Moldings.)

Remove the right engine compartment side cover.

Loosen the drive belt. (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Drive Belt")

Remove the bolts, then disconnect the suction line (A) and the discharge line (B) from the compressor.

Disconnect the compressor switch connector.

Remove the compressor by loosening the mounting bolts.
