Climate Control Air Filter

~1min read

The climate control air filter, located behind the glove box, filters dust and other contaminants that enter the vehicle from outside through the heating and air conditioning system. If dust or other contaminants accumulate in the filter over time, the airflow from the vents may decrease, which may result in fogging on the inside of the windshield even when the outside (fresh) air position is selected. In this case, have the climate control air filter replaced by an authorized Kia dealer.

✽ NOTICE

  • Replace the filter every 24,000 km (15,000 miles) or once a year. If the vehicle is operated under severe conditions, such as on dusty or rough roads, more frequent inspection and replacement of the air conditioner filter is required.
  • If the airflow suddenly decreases significantly, have the system checked by an authorized Kia dealer.
