The system will be disarmed when

• The doors (and the tailgate) are unlocked with the electronic key.

After pressing the unlock button, the hazard warning lights will flash and the horn will sound twice (with the Smart Key), indicating that the system is disarmed.

After pressing the unlock button, if any door (or the tailgate) is not opened within 30 seconds, the system will re-arm.

• Do not try to start the engine while the alarm is active. The vehicle starter motor is disabled during the alarm stage.

If the system is not disarmed with the smart key, open the doors with the mechanical key and start the engine by pressing the ENGINE START/STOP button with the smart key.

• If you lose your keys, contact an authorized Kia dealer.

CAUTION - Alarm System Adjustment

Do not change, modify, or adjust the alarm system, as this may cause the alarm system to malfunction.

✽ NOTICE

Malfunctions caused by improper changes, settings, or modifications to the anti-theft alarm system are not covered by your vehicle manufacturer's warranty.
