If part of the head-up display image is distorted or is not at the driver's eye level, the Global Diagnostic System (KDS) can be used to perform calibration.

  1. Calibration is required:

    • After replacing the head-up display

    • When the image is distorted after windshield replacement (built-in film to remove double images in the glass)

    • When removing/installing or replacing the main cluster panel mounted on the HUD.

    • When the HUD image installation position is not within the driver's field of view, resulting in an out-of-focus image.

  2. Calibration Items

  • Check the lighting control.

  • Check the operation of the ambient light sensor.

  • Check CAN communication.

  • Check the lighting control in the cluster ECU

→ If the HUD operates, there is no problem.

  • Check the operation of the ambient light sensor.

→ If the ambient light sensor operates, check the communication (CGW ↔ ICU).
