The Tire Mobility Kit (TMK) can be used to temporarily seal a tire puncture.
The kit consists of a compressor and sealant. The system effectively seals and conveniently inflates tires punctured by nails or similar objects.
Make sure the tire has been properly sealed. Afterwards, drive carefully (up to 200 km) at a maximum speed of 80 km/h to continue your journey or reach a tire service shop where the tire can be replaced.
In certain cases, tires with large leaks or sidewall damage may not be sealed completely.
Reduced tire pressure may adversely affect the handling of the vehicle.
For this reason, avoid sudden steering inputs and other critical driving maneuvers, especially when the vehicle is heavily loaded or towing a trailer. The TMK is not intended for permanent use. It is a temporary solution and may only be used for one tire.
These instructions will show you step by step how to temporarily seal a tire puncture easily and reliably.
Refer to 'Notes for Safe Use of TMK' on page 7-30.
WARNING
Do not use the TMK if the tire is severely damaged, or if it was previously driven flat or with too low air pressure. Only small leaks in the tread area can be sealed with the TMK.
