Remove and stow the spare tire

Turn the wing bolt securing the spare tire counterclockwise. Lower the tire by reversing the extension procedure.

Stow the spare tire and all tools carefully to prevent rattling while driving.

If the wing bolt securing the wheel is difficult to loosen by hand, you can use the jack handle to loosen it.

1. Insert the jack handle (1) into the wheel retaining wing nut.

2. Turn the wing bolt counterclockwise to release the wheel.

WARNING

Make sure the spare tire is centered on the carrier. If it is not, rattling noises may occur while driving.

Otherwise, the spare tire may fall from the carrier and cause an accident.
