Adaptive Front-lighting System (AFLS)

~1min read

The Adaptive Front-lighting System uses the steering wheel angle and vehicle speed to keep the field of view wide by swiveling and aligning the headlights.

Turn the switch to the AUTO position when the engine is running. The Adaptive Front-lighting System will operate when the headlights are on. To turn off AFLS, turn the switch to another position. After AFLS is turned off, headlight swiveling no longer occurs, but leveling operates continuously.

If the AFLS indicator light comes on, the AFLS is not operating properly. Drive to the nearest safe place and restart the engine. If the indicator light remains on, we recommend that the system be inspected by an authorized Kia dealer.
