Fuel Tank Repair Procedures

Removal

   Release the residual pressure in the fuel line. (Refer to Fuel System - "Fuel Line Pressure Release")

   Fold down the rear seat cushion. (Refer to Body - "Rear Seat Assembly")

   Open the service cover (A) after loosening the screws (B).

   Disconnect the fuel pump connector (A).

   Disconnect the quick connector of the fuel feed hose (B) and the quick connector of the vent hose (C).

   Raise the vehicle and support the fuel tank with a jack (A).

   Disconnect the filler hose (A), the balance hose (B), and the vent hose (C).

   Remove the lower cover (A) after removing the mounting nuts (B).

   

9. 9
   Remove the fuel tank mounting bolts (A), then remove the fuel tank (B).
