Main Fuse

~1min read

Electrical equipment does not operate even though the instrument panel and interior fuses are not blown, or many of them do not work. At the same time, the main fuse (battery terminal fuse type) inside the battery cover (+) may be blown.

If the main fuse is blown, it must be removed as follows:

1. Turn off the engine.

2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

3. Remove the nuts shown in the illustration above.

4. Replace the fuse with a new one of the same rating.

5. Reinstall in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION

  • After checking the main fuse, securely install the cover. When closing the cover, check for the locking sound. Otherwise, power supply failures may occur due to water leakage.
  • Visually inspect the battery cover for a secure closure. If the battery cover is not fully closed, the electrical system may be damaged due to moisture entering the system.
