Description and Operation

Description

  1. The ESC OFF switch is used by the driver to turn off the ESC system.

  2. The ESC OFF indicator illuminates when the ESC OFF switch is activated.

Repair Procedures

Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

  2. Remove the airbag lower panel.

    (Refer to Body - "Under Cover Panel")

  3. Remove the crash pad garnish [LH].

    (Refer to Body - "Crash Pad Lower Trim Panel")

  4. Remove the crash pad lower trim panel [LH] after loosening the mounting screws.

  5. Disconnect the connector (A) of the crash pad lower trim panel [LH] airbag.

  6. After loosening the mounting screws, remove the side mirror switch (A).

Installation

  1. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Inspection

  1. Check the switch terminal and replace it if abnormal.
