Repair Procedures

Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  2. Remove the upper and lower steering column covers.

    (Refer to Body - "Steering Column Shroud Panel")

  3. Remove the ignition switch assembly (A) by loosening the bolts, then disconnect the connectors (B, C).

    Tightening torque: 6.9–12.8 N·m

Installation

  1. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Inspection

  1. Disconnect the ignition switch connector (B) and the key warning switch connector (A) from the steering column.

  2. Check the circuit between the terminals for continuity.
