  1. Detach the speed limit label (0) from the sealant bottle (1) and place it where it is clearly visible inside the vehicle, for example on the steering wheel, to remind the driver to keep a moderate speed.
  2. Screw the connecting hose (9) onto the sealant bottle connector.
  3. Make sure the threaded cap (8) is closed.
  4. Remove the valve cap from the valve of the damaged wheel and screw the sealant bottle filler hose (2) onto the valve.
  5. Insert the sealant bottle into the compressor holder (4) so that the bottle is upright.

  6. Make sure the compressor is switched off, that is, in position 0.
  7. Insert the compressor power cable connector into the vehicle's power outlet.
  8. With the engine start/stop button in the ON position or the ignition switch in the ON position, switch on the compressor and let it run for about 5 to 7 minutes to inject the sealant and reach the correct pressure. (Refer to Tyres and wheels, chapter 8.)

The tyre inflation pressure after sealant injection is not important and will be checked/corrected later. Take care not to overinflate the tyre and stay well away from the tyre while injecting sealant.

WARNING - Tyre pressure Do not attempt to drive the vehicle if the tyre pressure is below 29 PSI (200 kPa). This may cause an accident due to sudden tyre failure.

9. Switch off the compressor.
10. Disconnect the hoses from the sealant bottle connector and the tyre valve.

Return the tyre repair kit to its storage place in the vehicle.

WARNING - Carbon monoxide Do not leave the vehicle running in a poorly ventilated area for a long period of time. You could be poisoned or suffocated by carbon monoxide.

Distributing the sealant

11. Drive immediately for about 7 to 10 km (or drive for about 10 minutes) so that the sealant spreads evenly inside the tyre.

Do not exceed a speed of 80 km/h.

If possible, do not drop below a speed of 20 km/h.

If you notice vibrations, noises or abnormal sounds while driving, reduce speed and proceed with caution until you reach a safe place to stop.

Contact a roadside assistance or towing service.

When using the tyre repair kit, the tyre pressure sensors and the wheel may become contaminated with sealant. Therefore, remove the tyre pressure sensors and the wheel contaminated with sealant and have them inspected by an authorised Kia dealer.
