WARNING

Windshield Defroster

Do not use or Cooling mode in extremely humid weather. The difference between the outside air temperature and the windshield surface temperature may cause the outside surface of the windshield to fog up, resulting in loss of visibility. In this case, set the mode selection knob or button the mode position and set the fan speed control knob or button to a lower speed.

  • For maximum defrosting, set the temperature control to the full right/hot position and the fan speed control to maximum speed.
  • If warm air to the floor is required during defrosting or defogging, set to the floor defrost position.
  • Before driving, clear all snow and ice from the windshield, rear window, outside rearview mirrors, and all side windows.
  • Clear snow and ice from the hood and the air intake grille under the hood to improve heater and defroster efficiency and reduce the possibility of fogging on the inside of the windshield.
