Opening the Fuel Filler Door

The fuel filler door can be opened from inside the vehicle by pulling the fuel filler door opener located on the floor at the front of the driver's seat.

NOTICE

If the fuel filler door cannot be opened due to ice around it, tap or press on the door lightly to break the ice and open the door. Do not pry the door open. If necessary, spray around the door with an approved de-icer (do not use engine coolant antifreeze), or park the vehicle in a warm place and allow the ice to melt.

1. Stop the engine.

2. To open the fuel filler door, pull up the fuel filler door opener.

3. Fully pull out the fuel filler cap (1) to open.

4. To remove the fuel cap, turn the fuel filler cap (2) counterclockwise.

5. Refuel as needed.

Closing the Fuel Filler Door

1. To install the cap, turn it clockwise until it clicks. This indicates the cap is securely tightened.

2. Close the fuel filler door and press it lightly to make sure it is securely closed.
