Sunroof

~1min read

If your vehicle is equipped with a sunroof, you can slide or tilt the sunroof using the sunroof switch located on the overhead console.

The sunroof can be opened only when the ignition switch is in the ON position or the ENGINE START/STOP button is in the ON position.

NOTICE

  • In cold and humid climates, the sunroof may not operate properly due to freezing conditions.
  • After washing the vehicle or driving in rain, be sure to wipe off all water on the sunroof before operating it.

CAUTION

  • Do not continue to hold the sunroof control lever after the sunroof is fully open, closed, or tilted. This may damage the motor or system components.
  • Make sure the sunroof is fully closed when leaving the vehicle. If the sunroof is open, rain or snow may leak through the sunroof and wet the interior, and may also cause theft.

NOTICE

The sunroof cannot slide when it is in the tilt position, and cannot be tilted when in the open or slid position.

WARNING

Never adjust the sunroof or sunshade while driving. This may cause loss of control and an accident which may result in death, serious injury, or property damage.

WARNING

  • To prevent accidental operation of the sunroof, especially by a child, do not allow children to operate the sunroof.
  • Do not sit on the roof of the vehicle. This may cause damage to the vehicle.
