Repair Procedures

Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the engine room cover.

    (See Engine and Transaxle Assembly - Under Hood)

  2. Remove the drive belt.

    1. To loosen the tension, turn the drive belt tensioner (A) counterclockwise.

    2. Remove the drive belt (A).

  3. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Inspection

Drive Belt Inspection

  1. Visually inspect the belt for excessive wear, frayed cords, etc.

    If any defect is found, replace the drive belt.

  2. Inspect the belt for wear and abnormal wear of the ribbed portion. Replace if necessary.
