Repair Procedures

Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the engine room cover.

    (See Engine and Transaxle Assembly - Under Hood)

  2. Remove the drive belt.

    (See Drive Belt System - Drive Belt)

  3. Remove the drive belt tensioner (A).

    Tightening torque: 19.6–26 N·m

  4. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Inspection

Inspect the drive belt tensioner for excessive foreign material, cracks, damage, or pivot shaft seizure. Replace if necessary.
