Replacing an Engine Compartment Fuse

1. Turn the ignition switch and all other switches off.
2. Remove the fuse panel cover by pressing the tab and pulling the cover upward. When the blade-type fuse is disconnected, remove it using the fuse puller located in the engine compartment fuse panel. When removing, firmly insert a spare fuse of the same rating.
3. Inspect the removed fuse; replace it if it is blown. To remove or insert a fuse, use the fuse puller in the fuse block in the engine compartment.
4. Insert a new fuse of the same rating and make sure it is firmly seated in the clips. If it does not seat securely, contact an authorized Kia dealer.
CAUTION
After inspecting the engine compartment fuse panel, securely install the fuse panel cover until it clicks into place.
Otherwise, electrical malfunctions may occur due to water contact.
Multi Fuse

If the multi fuse is blown, remove it as follows:
1. Turn off the engine.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the nuts shown in the illustration above.
4. Replace the fuse with a new one of the same rating.
5. Perform these steps in reverse order to reinstall the multi-fuse.
CAUTION
Do not disassemble or reassemble the multi-fuse if it is secured with nuts and bolts. Incorrect or incomplete torque during assembly may cause a fire. Have the vehicle inspected by an authorized Kia dealer.
CAUTION
Visually inspect the battery cover to make sure it is securely closed. If the battery cover is not closed tightly, moisture may enter the system and damage electrical components.
WARNING! When adding equipment, do not use random wiring.
Using non-standard wiring in the vehicle may cause a hazard due to malfunction and damage to vehicle performance. Using non-standard wires, especially when modifying the AVN or security alarm system, remote engine start, car phone or radio, may damage the vehicle or cause a fire.
WARNING! Do not modify the vehicle
Never attempt to modify the vehicle. This is illegal and may affect the performance, durability and safety of the vehicle. The manufacturer's warranty does not cover any problems caused by modification. Modifying the vehicle may cause vehicle malfunction, wiring damage, battery discharge, connector damage or fire.
✽ CAUTION - Precautions for Window Tinting
Window tinting (especially metallic film) may cause communication disturbances or poor radio reception and malfunction of the automatic lighting system due to excessive changes in light inside the vehicle. The solution used may also flow into electrical and electronic devices, causing malfunction and failure.
