Repair Procedures

Inspection

Check that the travel is within specification when the parking brake lever is pulled with a force of 44 lbf, 196 N (20 kgf). Also, make sure the parking brake alone holds the vehicle securely on a sufficiently steep slope. If the travel is more or less than specified, contact an authorized Kia dealer to adjust the parking brake.
