Engine Oil Level Warning Light

The engine oil level warning light illuminates when the engine oil level must be checked. If the warning light illuminates, check the engine oil level as soon as possible and add engine oil as necessary.

Slowly pour the recommended oil into the funnel in small amounts. (Engine oil filling capacity: approximately 0.6 L to 1 L)

Use only the specified engine oil. (Refer to "Recommended Lubricants and Capacities" on pages 9-11.)

Do not overfill the engine oil so that the oil level exceeds the F mark on the dipstick.

NOTICE

• If you drive approximately 50 km after adding engine oil, the warning light will turn off.
• Turn the ignition switch from OFF to ON 3 times within 10 seconds. The light will turn off immediately. However, if the warning light is turned off without adding engine oil, it will illuminate again after driving approximately 50 km.

CAUTION

If the warning light remains on after adding engine oil and driving approximately 50 km, have the vehicle inspected by a professional workshop as soon as possible. Kia recommends visiting an authorized Kia dealer/service partner. Even if this warning light does not illuminate after the engine starts, the engine oil must be checked and replenished periodically.
