Engine Oil Pressure Warning Light

~1min read
Kia Soul. Engine oil pressure warning light

This indicator light illuminates:

  • Each time the ignition key or Engine Start/Stop button is turned to the ON position.
    - Remains on until the engine starts.
  • When the engine oil pressure is low.

If the engine oil pressure is low:

1. Carefully drive to the nearest safe place and stop the vehicle.

2. Turn the engine off and check the engine oil level (refer to "Engine Oil" on page 8-31 for more details). If the level is low, add oil as necessary.

If the warning light remains on after adding oil, or if there is no oil, have the vehicle inspected at a qualified workshop as soon as possible. Kia recommends visiting an authorized Kia dealer/service partner.
