When you shift the transmission into R (Reverse) and one or more of the following occurs, there may be a malfunction in the rear parking distance warning system.

• You do not hear the warning sound or the buzzer sounds intermittently.

• Kia Soul. Self-diagnosisis displayed (if equipped).

In this case, have the system inspected at a professional workshop. Kia recommends visiting an authorized Kia dealer/service partner.
