Outside Mirrors
WARNING
Before changing lanes, look over your shoulder.
Changing lanes without checking the current distance to a vehicle visible in the convex mirror is a safety hazard. You may cause a serious accident.
Everything you see in the convex mirror is closer than it appears.
CAUTION
(Driver's side wide-angle mirror*)
The wide-angle mirror has two surface curvatures, divided by a line into an inner zone and an outer zone. The inner zone is a standard convex mirror, while the outer zone widens the field of view. This combination improves safety when changing lanes.

The apparent distance of objects seen in the inner and outer zones of the wide-angle mirror is different.
Objects seen in the outer zone of the mirror appear to be farther away than those seen in the inner zone.
Electric mirror adjustment
The ignition switch must be in the ACC or ON position.
To adjust:
1. Turn the mirror adjustment switch left or right to select the left or right mirror.
2. Press the mirror adjustment switch in the desired direction.

After adjusting the mirror, lock the control by setting the mirror adjustment switch to the center position.
Folding the mirror
WARNING
Always set the mirrors to the driving position before driving: Driving with folded mirrors is dangerous. Rear visibility will be restricted, which may cause an accident.
Manually folding mirrors
Fold the mirror parallel to the vehicle.

Power folding mirrors
The ignition switch must be in the ACC or ON position.
To fold the mirror, turn the switch to the lower center position.
To return the mirror to the driving position, set the mirror selector switch to the upper center position.

WARNING
Do not touch the mirror while it is folding: Touching a folding mirror while it is rotating is dangerous.
Your hand may be caught, or the mirror may be damaged.
To return the mirror to the driving position, use only the fold/unfold button.
Manually moving a power-folding mirror to the driving position is dangerous. The mirror will not lock in the correct position, which will restrict rear visibility.
Fold the mirrors only when the vehicle is parked: Folding or unfolding the mirrors while driving is dangerous. Wind pressure while driving may fold the mirror, and it cannot be returned to the open driving position. This will restrict rear visibility.
Outside mirror operation after the engine is turned off*
Power mirror folding can be used for approximately 40 seconds after the ignition is switched from ON to OFF. Outside mirror adjustment is not possible if any door is open.
