Touching up paint damage
Repair damaged paint caused by stone chips, scratches from parking, etc. before rust forms, using Mazda touch-up paint. First remove dirt and grease with a clean, soft cloth.
If rust has already started to form:
1. Thoroughly remove the rust with sandpaper.
2. Wipe the area with a clean, soft cloth.
3. Apply anti-corrosion primer to the surface.
4. After it has fully dried, apply a suitable layer of touch-up paint to the surface.
If you have any difficulty, have this work performed by a specialist service; we recommend a Mazda Authorized Service Center.
Perforation corrosion protection
The body is factory-protected against perforation corrosion. However, additional protection applied after the vehicle has been put into use will extend the service life of the body panels.
We recommend consulting a specialist service, preferably a Mazda Authorized Service Center.
