IN AN EMERGENCY

Running Out of Fuel (SKYACTIV-D 1.5)

~1min read

CAUTION

Do not attempt to start the engine for more than 30 seconds at a time. This may damage the starter motor. If the engine does not start on the first attempt, wait about 10 seconds before trying again.

If your vehicle runs out of fuel, add at least 10 L of fuel and try to start the engine again. Because air may have entered the fuel lines when the fuel ran out, it may take longer for the engine to start.

If the engine does not start the first time, make several attempts to start it. If the engine still cannot be started, contact a qualified service workshop. We recommend an Authorized Mazda Dealer.
