1. Check under the cover that all filler caps are in place and that no loose items (e.g., tools, fluid containers, etc.) have been left there.

2. Lift the cover, and while holding it, insert the support rod into its retaining clip.

Before closing the cover, check that the support rod is correctly secured in the clip.

3. Slowly lower the cover to about 20 cm above the closed position, then release it.

CAUTION

When closing the cover, do not push it down with excessive force, for example by leaning your body weight on it.

Otherwise, the cover may be damaged.
