Bleed the system after any operation that involved opening the circuit. As a general rule, bleeding must be carried out when the pedal feels 'spongy' and when the pedal must be pumped several times to obtain effective braking.
Wherever possible, the use of a pressure bleeding unit is recommended.
However, as an emergency measure, the 'pedal' bleeding method, which requires a second person, may be used, but its effectiveness is not guaranteed.
- Connect a bleeding unit.
- Bleed according to the unit's instructions, without exceeding 2 bar.
- Open the bleed screws in the following order:
- rear right wheel,
- rear left wheel,
- front right wheel,
- front left wheel.
- Check and correct the brake fluid level if necessary.
- Tighten the bleed screws to torque.
- Check the system for leaks.
