Important Safety Notes

WARNING

The exhaust system of the vehicle can become very hot. If you use HANDS-FREE ACCESS, you may burn yourself when touching the exhaust system. There is a risk of injury! Always make sure that you perform the kicking motion only in the detection zone of the sensors.

NOTE

If the key is in the rear detection zone of KEYLESS-GO, the trunk lid/tailgate may open unintentionally in situations such as the following:

  • when using a high-pressure cleaner

Make sure that the key is at least 3 m away from the vehicle.

  • When kicking, make sure you stand securely and have sufficient clearance behind the vehicle. Otherwise you could lose your balance, for example on icy ground.
