Select D so that the four gears change automatically.

In this case the gearbox operates in adaptive mode, without driver intervention. It continuously selects the best ratio for the driving style, road profile and vehicle load.

To achieve maximum acceleration without changing gear, fully depress the accelerator pedal (kickdown). The gearbox will automatically downshift or hold the selected gear until maximum engine torque is reached.

When braking, the gearbox automatically downshifts to use engine braking.

If the accelerator pedal is suddenly released, the gearbox will not upshift, for safety reasons.

Never select N while driving.

Never select P or R before the vehicle has come to a complete stop.
