Snow chains

For safety reasons, fitting snow chains to the rear wheels is prohibited.

Fitting tyres larger than those fitted at the factory makes it impossible to fit snow chains.

Snow chains may only be fitted to tyres of the same size as the tyres fitted to the vehicle at the factory. Do not fit chains to 18-inch wheels. If chains must be fitted, obtain the special equipment required.

Winter tyres

We recommend fitting this type of tyre on all four wheels to ensure optimum vehicle grip.

Note: these tyres sometimes have only one direction of rotation and one speed rating, which may be lower than the vehicle's maximum speed.

Studded tyres

They may only be used for a limited time and in accordance with local regulations. Always observe the locally applicable regulations on maximum permitted speed.

This type of tyre must be fitted to at least both front wheels.
