Speed limiter

~3min read
Limiteur de vitesse

The speed limiter is a function that helps you not to exceed a driving speed that you have chosen, called the limited speed.

Limiteur de vitesse

Controls

  • Main ON/OFF switch.
  • Activation, memorising and incremental increase of the limited speed (+).
  • Decremental change of the limited speed (-).
  • Activation with recall of the memorised limited speed (R).
  • Standby of the function (with memorising of the limited speed) (O).

Mise en service
Activation

Press switch 1 on the sidetémoin 6 s’allume en orange et le message.
Indicator 6 lights up orange and the message “LIMITER” appears on the instrument panel, with dashes to show that the speed limiter function is on and waiting for a limited speed to be stored.

To store the current speed, press switch 2 (+): the limited speed replaces the dashes.

The minimum speed that can be stored will be 30 km/h.

Conduite
Driving

When a limited speed is memorised, until this speed is reached, driving is similar to that of a vehicle not fitted with a speed limiter.

As soon as you reach the stored speed, any action on the accelerator pedal will not allow the programmed speed to be exceeded, except when necessary (see “Exceeding the limited speed” section).

Changing the limited speed

You can change the limited speed by pressing the following switches in turn:

  • switch 2 (+) to increase the speed;
  • switch 3 (-) to decrease the speed.

speed limiter function does not act on the braking system under any circumstances.

Exceeding the limited speed

At any time, it is possible to exceed the limited speed. To do so: press the accelerator pedal firmly and fully down (beyond the “firm point”).

While the limited speed is being exceeded, the limited speed flashes on the instrument panel.

Then release the accelerator pedal: the speed limiter function resumes as soon as you reach a speed lower than the memorised speed.

Function unable to maintain the limited speed

On a steep downhill, the system cannot maintain the limited speed: the memorised speed flashes on the instrument panel to inform you.

Mise en veille de la fonction
Standby of the function

The speed limiter function is put on standby when you press switch 5 (O). In this case, the limited speed remains memorised and the message “in memory” with the memorised speed appears on the instrument panel.

Recalling the limited speed

If a speed is memorised, it can be recalled by pressing switch 4 (R).

When the limiter is on standby, pressing switch 2 (+) reactivates the function without taking the memorised speed into account: the speed at which the vehicle is currently travelling is used instead.

Arrêt de la fonction
Switching off the function

The speed limiter function is cancelled when you press switch 1. In this case, there is no longer a memorised speed. The orange indicatorconfirme l’arrêt de la fonction.on the instrument panel
confirms that the function has been switched off.
