Parking assistance

~2min read

Operating principle

Ultrasonic sensors, fitted in the rear bumper (depending on vehicle), “measure” the distance between the vehicle and an obstacle.

This measurement is indicated by audible beeps whose frequency increases as the obstacle gets closer, until becoming a continuous tone when the obstacle is about 30 centimetres from the vehicle.

Note: make sure the ultrasonic sensors are not obstructed (dirt, mud, snow...).

Note: depending on vehicle, screen 1 shows the surroundings of the vehicle in addition to the audible beeps.

fonction est une aide supplémentaire qui indique, par le biais desThis
function is an additional aid that indicates, by audible signals, the distance between the vehicle and an obstacle during a manoeuvre.

It must therefore never replace the driver's vigilance or responsibility during manoeuvres.

The driver must always remain alert to sudden events that may occur while driving. Always make sure there are no moving obstacles (such as a child, an animal, a pushchair, a bicycle…) or obstacles that are too small or too thin (medium-sized stone, very thin post…) during the manoeuvre.
