Tightening torques
manifold mounting stud 0.8 daN.m
manifold mounting nuts 2,8 daN.m
EGR valve mounting bolts 0.8 daN.m

REMOVAL

  • Disconnect the battery.
  • Remove:
  • the intake duct (Fuel Metering chapter, Intake Duct, page 12A-36),
  • the turbocharger (Turbocharging chapter).
Collecteur
  • Disconnect:
  • the air supply hose to the shut-off flap (1),
  • the connector (2) of the engine shut-off solenoid valve.
  • Remove:
  • the hose support (3),
  • the vacuum reservoir (4),
  • the engine shut-off solenoid valve (5).
Collecteur
  • Disconnect the electric EGR valve.
  • Remove:
  • the electric EGR valve (6),
  • the EGR hose (7),
  • the engine lifting bracket (8),
  • the manifold mounting nuts,
  • the manifolds.

INSTALLATION

  • Refit in the reverse order of removal.
  • Replace the gaskets:
  • of the manifolds,
  • of the exhaust gas recirculation valve,
  • of the intake duct.
  • Tighten to the following torques:
  • manifold mounting stud (0.8 daN.m),
  • manifold mounting nuts (2.8 daN.m),
  • exhaust gas recirculation valve mounting screws (0.8 daN.m).
WARNING

Connect the battery; carry out the necessary re-learns (see Electrical Equipment chapter).
