Tightening torques
intake manifold bolts 0.9 daN.m
throttle body bolts 1.3 daN.m
air box bolts 0.9 daN.m

REMOVAL

  • Disconnect the battery.
  • Remove:
  • the air filter housing (Chapter Fuel Mixture, Air Filter Housing, page 12A-14),
  • the throttle body (Chapter Fuel Mixture, Throttle Body, page 12A-23).
Répartiteur d'admission
  • Disconnect:
  • the manifold pressure sensor (1),
  • the ignition coils (2),
  • the air temperature sensor (3).
  • Release the wiring harness.
Répartiteur d'admission
  • Remove:
  • the intake manifold bolts (8),
  • the intake manifold.

INSTALLATION

  • Always replace all sealing gaskets.
  • Refit in the reverse order of removal.
Répartiteur d'admission
  • Tighten the intake manifold bolts to torque (0.9 daN.m), following the specified sequence.
  • Tighten to the following torques:
  • the throttle body bolts (1.3 daN.m),
  • the air box bolts (0.9 daN.m).
WARNING

Connect the battery; carry out the necessary re-learns (see Electrical Equipment chapter).

Tightening torques
intake manifold bolts 0.9 daN.m
motorised throttle body bolts 1.3 daN.m

REMOVAL

Répartiteur d'admission
  • Disconnect the battery.
  • Remove:
  • the engine covers,
  • the air duct (1).
Répartiteur d'admission
  • Disconnect:
  • the throttle body connector (2),
  • the brake booster vacuum hose (3) to the intake manifold.
Note: Do not damage the vacuum outlet on the intake manifold. If it is damaged, the intake manifold must be replaced.
  • Disconnect the fuel vapour recirculation hose (4) from the throttle body.

  • Disconnect the wiring harness (5).
  • Move the wiring harness aside.
  • Disconnect the fuel supply hose (6) from the fuel rail.
IMPORTANT

Beware of fuel spray when disconnecting the fuel supply fitting from the fuel rail.

  • Unclip the fuel vapour recirculation hose (7) from the intake manifold.

  • Remove the eight intake manifold bolts.

ON THE WORKBENCH

  • Remove the throttle body.

INSTALLATION

  • Always replace all sealing gaskets.
  • Refit in the reverse order of removal.
Répartiteur d'admission
  • Tighten the intake manifold bolts to torque (0.9 daN.m), following the specified sequence.
  • Tighten the electronic throttle body bolts to torque (1.3 daN.m), tightening evenly.
WARNING

Connect the battery; carry out the necessary re-learns (see Electrical Equipment chapter).
