Tightening torques
battery cover screw 0.4 daN.m

The procedures are symmetrical for both sides of the vehicle.

WARNING

Before carrying out any work on the airbag system, the airbag control unit must be locked using the diagnostic tool (Chapter Electrical equipment).

REMOVAL

  • Disconnect the battery, starting with the negative terminal.

  • Remove:
  • the front seat concerned (Chapter Front seat frames and runners),
  • the front sill trim (upper part) concerned (Chapter General).
  • the front sill trim (front section) concerned (see General chapter).
  • Partially remove the front carpet.

  • Remove the clip (1).
  • Lift the rear air duct (2).
  • Remove the rear air duct (2) from the intermediate duct (3).

INSTALLATION

  • Refit in the reverse order of removal.
IMPORTANT

Reactivate the airbag control unit using the diagnostic tool (see Electrical Equipment chapter).

WARNING

Connect the battery; carry out the necessary relearn procedures (Chapter Battery).

  • Torque the battery cover screws (0.4 daN.m).
