System operation

GENERAL OPERATION

On this vehicle, the automatic gearbox is a DP0, a gearbox already fitted to other Renault vehicles including the Laguna II, Clio II or Kangoo.

The automatic gearbox control unit controls gear changes based on several parameters, including engine torque and the driving mode selected by the driver.

All information to the control unit is wired, except for the information from the injection control unit, which is multiplexed.

The control unit is diagnosed via the K-line.

Note: Switch S1 of the multifunction switch is not connected on this vehicle.

States of the pulse lever switch:

Note: This vehicle is not fitted with the forced 3rd gear (D3).

Ignore ET155 "Forced third gear contact".
