Rear side member

Replacing this part is an additional operation to partial front replacement of the rear floor for a rear impact.

In the method described below, you will only find the descriptions and joins specific to the part concerned.

Information on related parts is covered in their respective sections (see contents).

Note: If the spot welds cannot be made with the spot welder, they may be replaced with plug welds.

Use of the repair bench is essential.

IMPORTANT

On the left-hand side, the splice joint is located at B (see next page), so it is necessary to cut at the splice joint.

WARNING

If the impact does not allow the side member to be cut at the position indicated above, the connecting bracket b can be taken from the replacement part and welded in area X1 on the side member shown below (see next page).

The cutting method remains the same as for the previous cut.
