The light comes on when the ignition is turned on and goes out when the engine starts.

The light will come on and stay on when oil pressure is insufficient. If the light comes on while driving, pull off the road immediately and stop the engine.

Check the engine oil level and top up if necessary. If the oil level is sufficient, the lubrication system should be inspected by a SUZUKI service station before driving again.

NOTE
  • Operating the engine while this light is lit may cause serious engine damage.
  • Do not rely on the oil pressure warning light as an indicator that oil needs to be added. The oil level should be checked regularly.
