Malfunction Possible Cause Remedy
A. Brake light does not illuminate 1. Bulb has burned out
2. Power supply interrupted. Do the other bulbs in this lamp illuminate? If not:
3. Ground connection (body) interrupted		 Replace
Check the wire
B. Both brake lights do not illuminate 1. Faulty fuse
2. Brake light switch incorrectly installed or faulty
3. See A 1 and 3		 Replace
Check, replace if necessary
C. Brake lights illuminate constantly 1. See B 2
2. Wires to the brake light switch are shorted		 Check the wires
