~1min read

Instrument panel indicators do not light or flash with ignition on: battery fully discharged or battery terminals disconnected.

Indicators go out when starter is engaged: battery significantly discharged or at end of service life, or inter-turn short circuit in starter.

Indicator light dims when key is turned; starter does not turn: starter solenoid relay sticking or faulty; starter may also be faulty.

Indicators light or flash normally when key is turned; starter does not turn: poor contact at terminal 50 in ignition switch, loose wiring to terminal 50 on starter solenoid relay, or faulty starter solenoid relay.
